හොරොව්පොතාන වැවේ ගේට්ටු සහිත වාන් නිර්මිතය හා වැව් බැම්ම ප්රතිසංස්කරණය ආරම්භ කෙරේ
"වාරි මහිම – අපේ උරුමය" ජාතික වැඩසටහන යටතේ හොරොව්පොතාන වැවේ ගේට්ටු සහිත වාන් නිර්මිතය ඉදිකිරීම සහ වැව් බැම්ම ප්රතිසංස්කරණය කිරීමේ ව්යාපෘතිය පසුගිය ජූලි 02 වැනිදා ආරම්භ කෙරිණි.
කෘෂිකර්ම, පශු සම්පත්, ඉඩම් හා වාරිමාර්ග අමාත්යාංශය යටතේ ක්රියාත්මක මෙම ව්යාපෘතිය සඳහා වෙන් කර ඇති මුළු මුදල රුපියල් මිලියන 100.01කි.
ප්රදේශයේ ගොවි ජනතාව මුහුණ දෙන කෘෂිකාර්මික ජල ගැටලුවට කඩිනම් විසඳුමක් ලබාදීමේ අරමුණින් මෙම ව්යාපෘතිය කඩිනමින් ක්රියාත්මක කිරීමට නියමිතය. මෙම ව්යාපෘතිය අවසන් කිරීමත් සමඟ ප්රදේශයේ කෘෂිකාර්මික කටයුතු සඳහා අවශ්ය ජලය විධිමත්ව කළමනාකරණය කිරීමට හැකිවනු ඇති අතර, ගොවි ජනතාවට වඩාත් සාර්ථකව සිය වගා කටයුතු සිදුකර ගැනීමට අවස්ථාව සැලසෙනු ඇත.
Construction of Horowpothana Tank Spillway and Rehabilitation of Tank Bund Commences
Under the "Wari Mahima – Ape Urumaya" (Glory of Irrigation – Our Heritage) National Programme, construction of a gated spillway at the Horowpothana Tank and rehabilitation of the tank bund commenced on July 2.
A total allocation of Rs. 100.01 million has been set aside for this project under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Lands and Irrigation.
The project is being implemented on an urgent basis to provide a solution to the agricultural water-related issues faced by farmers in the area. Upon completion, the project is expected to improve the management and distribution of irrigation water, enabling farmers in the area to carry out their agricultural activities more effectively.
