ඇළහැර අමුණ ප්රතිසංස්කරණය කිරීම
වාරි මහිම අපේ උරුමය' වැඩසටහනට සමගාමීව ඇළහැර අමුණ ප්රතිසංස්කරණය කිරීමේ කටයුතු පසුගියදා ආරම්භ විය. ඒ කෘෂිකර්ම, පශු සම්පත්, ඉඩම් හා වාරිමාර්ග අමාත්ය කේ.ඩී ලාල් කාන්ත මැතිතුමන්ගෙ ප්රධානත්වයෙනි.
දිට්වා කුණාටුවෙන් විනාශ වූ ඇළහැර අමුණ වැව් ප්රතිසංස්කරණය වැඩසටහන යටතේ යලි පිළිසකර කිරීම මෙහිදි සිදු වේ.
මෙම අවස්ථාවට ආගමික හා සංස්කෘතික කටයුතු අමාත්ය හිනිදුම සුනිල් සෙනෙවි මහතා, නිවාස ඉදිකිරීම් හා ජල සම්පාදන නියෝජ්ය අමාත්ය ටී.බී. සරත් මහතා ඇතුළු රාජ්ය නිලධාරීන්ද සහභාගී විය.
Rehabilitation of the Elahera Anicut
Rehabilitation work on the Elahera Anicut recently commenced under the "Wari Mahima – Our Heritage" programme. The inauguration of the project was held under the patronage of Hon. K. D. Lalkantha, Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Lands and Irrigation.
The project aims to restore the Elahera Anicut and reservoir, which were damaged by Cyclone Ditwah, under the government's programme to rehabilitate reservoirs affected by the cyclone.
The occasion was also attended by Hon. Hiniduma Sunil Senevi, Minister of Religious and Cultural Affairs, Hon. T. B. Sarath, Deputy Minister of Housing Construction and Water Supply, and several government officials.
