අලකොළ ආර වැව - මඩුල්ල ප්රාදේශීය ලේකම් කොට්ඨාසය
කෘෂීකර්මාන්තය සහ ධීවර කර්මාන්තය තම ප්රධාන ජීවනෝපාය කරගනිමින් ජීවත් වන මිනිසුන්ට සවියක් වෙමින්, වැව් ප්රතිසංස්කරණය කිරීම මූලික කරගනිමින් "වාරි මහිම - අපේ උරුමය" වැඩසටහන කෘෂිකර්ම, පශු සම්පත්, ඉඩම් හා වාරිමාර්ග අමාත්යාංශය සහ ඒ යටතේ තියෙන සියලූම ආයතනයන්හි පූර්ණ දායකත්වයෙන් ක්රියාත්මක වේ.
වාරි මහිම අපේ උරුමය වැඩසටහන යටතේ මොනරාගල දිස්ත්රික්කයේ සංවර්ධනය කිරීම සඳහා සුදුසු වැව් තෝරා ගැනීම වෙනුවෙන් මඩුල්ල ප්රාදේශීය ලේකම් කොට්ඨාසයට අයත් අලකොළ ආර වැවෙහි මූලික ක්ෂේත්ර අධ්යන කටයුතු පසුගිය දා වැඩසටහන් කාර්ය මණ්ඩලය සහ මඩුල්ල ප්රාදේශීය ලේකම් කොට්ඨාසයේ නිළධාරීන් එක් ව සිදු කරනු ලැබිණි.
Alakola Ara Wewa – Madulla Divisional Secretariat Division
The "Wari Mahima – Ape Urumaya" (Irrigation Glory – Our Heritage) Programme is being implemented with the full support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Lands and Irrigation and all institutions under its purview, with the aim of strengthening communities whose primary livelihoods depend on agriculture and fisheries. The rehabilitation of irrigation tanks is a key focus of the programme.
As part of the process of identifying suitable tanks in the Monaragala District for development under the "Wari Mahima – Ape Urumaya" Programme, an initial field study was recently conducted at Alakola Ara Wewa, located within the Madulla Divisional Secretariat Division.
The field assessment was jointly carried out by the programme staff and officials of the Madulla Divisional Secretariat Division, with the objective of assessing the current condition of the tank and identifying its development and rehabilitation requirements.
The proposed development of Alakola Ara Wewa is expected to improve water availability for agricultural activities, support local livelihoods and contribute to strengthening the rural economy of the surrounding community.
