රුපියල් මිලියන 209.5 ක වියදමින් කැකිරිඕබඩ ජලාශය පිටවාන් ඇල ඉදිකිරිම ඇරඹේ
කැකිරිඕබඩ ජලාශයේ පිටවාන් නිර්මාණය සහ පිටවාන් ඇල ඉදිකිරීමේ කටයුතු පසුගිය දා (ජූලි 30) ඉඩම් හා වාරිමාර්ග නියෝජ්ය අමාත්ය අරවින්ද සෙනරත් මැතිතුමන්ගේ ප්රධානත්වයෙන් ආරම්භ කෙරිණි.
කෘෂිකර්ම, පශු සම්පත්, ඉඩම් හා වාරිමාර්ග අමාත්යාංශය යටතේ ක්රියාත්මක වන දේශගුණික අවදානම් අවම කිරීමේ බහු අදියර වැඩසටහන හරහා ලෝක බැංකු මූල්යාධාර මත ක්රියාත්මක වන මෙම ව්යාපෘතිය සඳහා වැය කෙරෙන මුළු ආයෝජනය රුපියල් මිලියන 209.5 කි.
එළඹෙන ඔක්තෝබර් 31 වන විට මෙහි ඉදිකිරීම් කටයුතු සාර්ථකව අවසන් කිරීමට කෘෂිකර්ම, පශු සම්පත්, ඉඩම් හා වාරිමාර්ග අමාත්යාංශය සැලසුම් කර ඇති අතර ගොවි ජනතාවගේ ජීවන තත්ත්වය නංවාලමින්, වාරිමාර්ග ක්ෂේත්රය ශක්තිමත් කරන මේ සංවර්ධන ගමන ඉදිරියටත් අඛණ්ඩව ක්රියාත්මක කිරීමට ව්යාපෘතිය අරමුණු කරයි.
Rs. 209.5 Million Kakiriobada Reservoir Spill Canal Construction Project Commences
Construction of the spillway structure and spill canal for the Kakiriobada Reservoir officially commenced on July 30 under the patronage of Hon. Aravinda Senarath, Deputy Minister of Land and Irrigation.
The project is being implemented under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation through the Multi-Phase Programmatic Approach for Climate Resilience, with financial assistance from the World Bank. The total investment for the project amounts to Rs. 209.5 million.
The Ministry plans to complete construction by October 31. By improving irrigation infrastructure, enhancing climate resilience, and supporting farming communities, the project aims to strengthen the irrigation sector while improving the livelihoods of local farmers. The Ministry remains committed to continuing similar development initiatives to promote sustainable agricultural growth.
