ගොවි පවුල් 300කට සෙත සලසමින් නෛනමඩුව වැව ප්රතිසංස්කරණය ආරම්භ කෙරේ
වාරි මහිම - අපේ උරුමය වැව් දහසක් ප්රතිසංස්කරණය කිරීම වැඩසටහන යටතේ වවුනියාව දිස්ත්රික්කයේ තවත් එක් වැඩසහටනක් පසු ගිය දා (ජූලි 19) වවුනියාව කනගරායන්කුලම ගොවිජන සේවා කොට්ඨාසයේ නෛනමඩුව වැව කේන්ද්රකරගනිමින් ආරම්භ කෙරිණ.
රුපියල් මිලියන 45ක වියදමකින් නෛනමඩුව වැව පිළිසකර කිරීම් සිදුකිරීමට නියමිත අතර නෛනමඩුව වැව ප්රතිසංස්කරණය කිරීම මඟින් ගොවිපවුල් 300 අධික පිරිසකට සෘජු සහ වක්ර ප්රතිලාභ ලැබේ.
නෛනමඩුව වැවෙන් අක්කර 200 අධික ප්රමාණයක් යල මහ කන්න දෙක වගාකිරීමට හැකියාව ද උදාවේ.
මේ අවස්ථාව සඳහා ජාතික ජන බලවේගයේ වන්නි දිස්ත්රික් පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්රීවරුන් වන එස්.තිලගනාදන්, එම්.ජගදීස්වරන්, වවුනියාව දිස්ත්රික් ලේකම් පි.ඒ සරත්චන්ද්ර මහතා, මහවැලි අධිකාරියේ නියෝජ්ය සාමාන්ය අධිකාරී එස්.ඒ.ජි.ටී කැනීසියස් මහතා, දිස්ත්රික් කළමනාකරු ඉංජිනේරු පසිඳු අමරසිංහ යන මහත්වරුන් ඇතුළු පළාත් පාලන නියෝජිතයින් සහ ප්රදේශවාසීන් පිරිසක් එක්ව සිටියහ.
Rehabilitation of Nainamaduwa Tank Begins, Benefiting 300 Farming Families
As part of the "Wari Mahima – Ape Urumaya: Rehabilitation of 1,000 Tanks" programme, another project in Vavuniya District was launched on July 19, focusing on the Nainamaduwa Tank in the Kanagarayankulam Agrarian Services Division of Vavuniya.
The rehabilitation of the Nainamaduwa Tank is expected to be carried out at a cost of Rs. 45 million. Upon completion, more than 300 farming families are expected to receive both direct and indirect benefits.
The restoration of the tank will also enable the cultivation of more than 200 acres of agricultural land during both the Yala and Maha cultivation seasons.
The event was attended by S. Thilaganathan and M. Jagadeeswaran, Members of Parliament representing the National People's Power in the Vanni District, Vavuniya District Secretary P. A. Sarathchandra, Deputy General Manager of the Mahaweli Authority S. A. G. T. Canisius, District Manager Engineer Pasindu Amarasinghe, along with representatives of local authorities and residents of the area.
